Compatibility
For each release, the versions it was built and verified with, newest first.
What your project needs is what a consumer must match; verified with
is what the release’s checks ran on, so a release can be reproduced. A --
is a version that release did not record. The record is compatibility.toml
in the repository, written when a release is tagged.

The jars are JVM bytecode for the release’s JVM version; Gradle module
metadata refuses an older JVM at resolution, Maven consumers get a class-file
error instead.
